I use
Assembla.com as my personal source code repository. In fact, many of my open source projects begin life there until they're ready to come of age and move off to the
SourceForges and
Google Codes of the world.
However, I recently received an email from Assembla advertising new features. Although I almost instinctively trashed it, a few items such as
Trac integration with BaseCamp (cool!) caught my eye. Another item that caught my eye, however, was their
ongoing blog series on agile development.
Much to my surprise, the guys at Assembla keep a blog that seems to be chock full of great material that I've been slowy sifting through over the course of the weekend. Of particular interest is the post on
Shared Leader versus Single Leader team organization, since my team is currently experimenting with a self-organizing team structure for a sprint starting tomorrow, and the post on
Hyper-Agile development.
If you're looking for a nice place to host a distributed project or even just a personal repository then Assembla is a great choice and I can't recommend them highly enough. However, if you're just looking for a little more material for the old RSS reader then their blog may be a nice addition as well.
